PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An innocent bystander was shot after gunfire erupted during what appears to be a road rage incident in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
The 27-year-old woman who was shot is now hospitalized in critical condition.
A doorbell camera captured the moment a gunfight broke out on the 600 block of E. Indiana Avenue just before 10 a.m. Friday.
You see a man get out of his car, and several shots are fired.
"I heard the shots and I came out, and it was two cars involved in a shooting. Apparently, it was a road rage moment," said Jose Negron from Kensington
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had been shot in the stomach.
"I just waited, and then when I came down, I heard all the commotion here," said Aurea Ocasio, a Kensington resident.
Ocasio says she heard gunshots and breaking glass when a bullet shattered the rear window of her car.
"It's awful. I have it from month to month, and now I have to pay for extra money to put that glass on just because somebody decided to shoot at it," Ocasio said.
Evidence of the shooting remains on the street, just feet from where Theresa Grone's eight children play in a nearby park.
"I instantly panicked and told all my kids to get away from the windows and to get away from the doors," said Grone.
Police say they are working to determine exactly what led to the shooting.
Both shooters have been taken into custody, police say.
